Burt Bacharach will be the special celebrity guest on Saturday’s edition of National Public Radio’s Wait Wait…Don’t Tell Me, the NPR news quiz.
Each week, the show invites a celebrity guest to play its “Not My Job” segment, in which host Peter Sagal asks the celebrity questions on a topic far removed from his or her area of expertise. It’s usually a lot of fun.
Wait Wait airs at various times on the many NPR affiliates, so check your local listings for the time in your area, but if you happen to miss it this week, you can catch Burt’s segment via Wait Wait’s website or its podcast.
Dear Burt,
I have just found out that you are returning to Sydney Opera House March 2010.
I am trying to purchase 6 tickets for Friday event as we live 4 hours away from Sydney, this would be a good time for my family and I. But… …
If we can’t get the tickets for that date then we have decided we will have to
close our business and come on the Thursday, but looking at the seating we can’t sit altogether that night either. But we will be there even if we are separated.
I would like to say that your last performance at Sydney 2007 was the best experience of my life. I was in tears all night with emotion. My husband and three children said the same We were in a party of nine on that night.
I remember ringing my Sister in England after the show looking at the Sydney
bridge and telling her ‘I have had the most memorable night of my life”.
So thank you Burt for all your beautiful music and giving us goose bumps whenever we hear your music.
Kind Regards,
Karen Perry. (Mrs) NSW – Australia.
Thank heavens!! I managed to get tickets.
My family friends and I are all looking forward to this very special night.
Thank you very much.
Kind Regards,
Karen.
