John Pagano, who sings in Burt’s touring band and appears on At This Time, is featured in the new Adam Sandler comedy Click. The film opened nationwide on June 23.

Burt is now a blogger. Bacharach’s first column, which appeared yesterday on the political website The Huffington Post, discussed the evolution of the new political consciousness in his music. Unlike last fall, when Burt’s comments about President Bush and the Iraq War provoked an angry conservative backlash, the readers of the Huffington Post were almost universal in their praise and encouragement. Burt will be performing in Italy this summer after all. A pair of just-announced dates in Forli and Trani highlight Burt’s summer performance schedule. The full itinerary, which includes newly announced shows in New York, Denver and Florida, is available on the On Tour page.
