Hi,

I've brought several Burt Bacharach CD's and all I get is either instrumental, or some dodgy session singers.

I'm a new Bacharach fan, so I don't know much, so please someone tell me. Does he sing his own stuff????

Does he sing these in particular:

This guy's in love with you
I Say A little prayer
Raindrops keep falling on my head
(they long to be) close to you
I'll never fall in love again

If not, then surely there is a CD with him and only him (or dueting on a few tracks) singing...

PLEASE SOMEONE HELP

PLEASE TELL ME A COMPILATION CD OF HIS, OR ONE OF HIS ALBUM'S WHERE HE SINGS HIS OWN TRACKS. NOT CLIFF RICHARD OR WHOEVER. JUST HIM!!!

PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you, you golden people!

Currently, there isn't any one CD that collects Burt's strongest vocal performances. Typically, he sang only one or two songs on his solo albums and he often limited himself to just a verse or chorus. I'm not aware of any recordings that feature Burt singing "This Guy's In Love With You," "I Say A Little Prayer" "or "I'll Never Fall in Love Again."

Your best bet is the recently released "What the World Needs Now: Bacharach Classics," on which Burt sings "Something Big," "Make It Easy on Yourself," "A House Is Not A Home," and bits of "Close To You."

If you want to cherry pick songs, Burt sings "Alfie" on the CD "One Amazing Night," he sings "Hasbrook Heights" on "The Look of Love: The Burt Bacharach Collection," he sings "Lost Horizon" on the album "Living Together," and on the (difficult to find) "In Concert--Live in Japan," Burt sings a number of songs, including a strong version of "Raindrops Keep Fallin' on My Head."

I only remember Raindrops. Which other ones am I forgetting? I only own the LP and I don't have a record player anymore...
