Thanks. Simply gorgeous.
The song is so sunny and brings joy to my heart.
So I couldn't help making one to answer this
(though my video is a far inferior one, taken from my cell phone during a
morning ferry ride with the sun shining. But this instrumental version is just as good)

And to my great surprise I found this, which is related to the previous post, but...
I always say what the video is about, but not this time.

A different kind of "This Guy's In Love With You"

Post by An Enormous BB Fan »

You may not like this version, and that's understandable. But I like how they interpreted it. This is just one example of how Burt's melodies can be infinitely interpreted. Tell me what you think.

Wow, Enormous BB Fan! Thank-You for posting this. i think it's a really daring & dynamic interpretation of this masterpiece of a song-risk-taking, yet completely respectful of the melody. I would love to see this trio-never heard of them-based on this tune, alone!

Molto Grazie!

"Lover"..... or is it???

Post by An Enormous BB Fan »

This is weird! The song is written by Burt and Bob Hilliard. They also wrote a song called "Any Day Now".... which is really this same song (basically) with another lyric! Tell me what you think.

Bonjour An Enormous BB Fan;

Yes that is weird! Never have in all my years have I heard the same music by Burt used in another song by him!!!

But if you read the comments, Burt did not arrange or produce the song!

Burt knew that if he had creative control he could he could improve on it (Chuck Jackson 1962, 'Any Day Now')!

An Enormous BB Fan, the next time if I can a chance to talk with Burt, I will have to get his personal thought on this!

Thanks for posting this.

P.S. We have not played Golf this year!

Take care mon ami.

Yes, Vincent! When you speak to your friend, Burt, next, please DO ask him about this. Who knew that "Any Day Now" had seen a previous incarnation!!

(Let's play La Tourette on Labor Day, if possible! My new and improved swing is something to behold!)

"Nothing In This World"

Post by An Enormous BB Fan »

I just now have come across this song, entitled "Nothing In This World", composed by Burt with the lyric written by Philip Nigel Lowis. Have any of you heard of this song? Engelbert Humperdinck sings it here and it's a beautiful song which, I imagine, not too many people have heard. Tell me what you think:

Nothing in this World

Listened to Nothing In This World and i must say.
It is a lovely song.
Engelbert did a great job on this.
So much emotion and passion.
That`s again the great craftmenship of BURT.
I never heard this hidden gem before?
You can write (a good song) song but if there is no one who can or will perform it, then you`ve got no song at all.
But if there are a song which is written by BURT and it will be performed by one these kind of performers the quality is from a high level!
Thank you BURT for all those lovely songs that you have written in the past and hope in the near future!
You are a genius!
My hero!

Note:
I enjoyed you`re performance on stage with trainca in Rotterdam on the North Sea Jazz Festival and i am glad that i saw you for the first time in person (however i couldn`t met you after the show).
I was only disappointed that the show only took 50 minutes, so a lot of you`re songs didn`t reach the audience to hear the (more) songs that you have written!

Kind regards,
Marcel :D
