Jackie Trent the singer and songwriter, former wife of Tony Hatch as sadly passed away after a long illness she was 74.
Jackie and Tony wrote hit's for many artists, most notably Miss Petula Clark.

Here's Jackie's single that topped the British chart's in 1965.


R.I.P. Jackie.

I've always been fond of Jackie Trent's 'When the Summertime is Over', the follow-up to her big UK hit 'Where Are you Now:



It's well known that Tony Hatch could write both words and music ('Downtown', 'Call Me', 'My Love', etc, etc) but it's less commonly known that Jackie Trent could do both as well. The best known song credited to Trent alone is this UK No.2 hit from 1965 for Val Doonican:
