Happy Holidays! Catching up on some neglected business, I’ve got a couple of photos of Burt in Pittsburgh courtesy of fan Vincent Cole as well as a great new photo of Burt and Vincent from Burt’s performance in Connecticut last July.

Updated dates for Bacharach’s upcoming tour of Australia and New Zealand–including venues and web links–are now posted.

Burt heads Down Under this January with a two-week tour of Australia and New Zealand. The dates are posted in the On Tour page, but I’m still awaiting confirmation on locations and venues.

John Pagano, who sings in Burt’s touring band and appears on At This Time, is featured in the new Adam Sandler comedy Click. The film opened nationwide on June 23.

Burt is now a blogger. Bacharach’s first column, which appeared yesterday on the political website The Huffington Post, discussed the evolution of the new political consciousness in his music.

Unlike last fall, when Burt’s comments about President Bush and the Iraq War provoked an angry conservative backlash, the readers of the Huffington Post were almost universal in their praise and encouragement. Blogging isn’t the only new media Burt has recently become involved
