Santino Fontana, John Cariani, Donna Lynne Champlin, More Set for Cabaret & Concert News Promises, Promises in Concert Jack Cummings III will direct the evening for the Transport Group. Transport Group has announced initial casting for Promises, Promises, the company’s second musical in this season’s Anne L. Bernstein Concert Series.
Burt and his band have added a second date in Italy this summer. In addition to the previously announced show in Rome on July 25, Burt will be performing at the Teatro degli Arcimboldi in Milan on July 23.

What the World Needs Now Is Love, illustrator Mary Kate McDevitt’s children’s book based on the song by Burt Bacharach and Hal David, has been selected to receive an award in the Children’s Trade category at the 2018 New York Book Show. Organized by the Book Industry Guild of New York and now in its 32nd year, this year’s New York Book Show will take place at Battery Gardens on Oct.11, 2018. Just received word that Burt will be performing at the Cerritos Center for Performing Art (above) in Cerritos, California, on Sept. 14, and at the Gallo Center for the Arts in Modesto, California, on Sept. 22. Ticket links aren’t yet available. These dates are in addition to Burt’s previously announced performance at the Sunset Center in Carmel-by-the-Sea, California, on Sept. 29.

COLUMBIA – The South Carolina Governor’s Mansion will be getting a little groovy next week. Famed music composer Burt Bacharach will perform at the mansion next week in a fundraiser for the University of South Carolina equestrian team where his daughter was a rider.
The stars came together for the fifth annual ‘Light Up The Blues’ benefit concert held at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, an event organized by Stephen Stills and his wife to aid people with autism, including their college-age son Henry. “With the help of steadfast friends and concerned professionals that shared our determination”, Stills told crowd.
Began at a Los Angeles club in 2013, Light Up The Blues, the autism benefit started by Stephen and Kristen Stills, has become one of the best events of the year, as proven last night by Neil Young, Beck, Patti Smith, Sheryl Crow and many more.
