  1. Hi, I’ve been a fan of Burt Bacharach since I was a kid. Wonderful, wonderful music that has never aged. I wrote this little poem in celebration. Hope he doesn’t sue me for using his lyrics, but its done with love and respect from South London ( and I can’t wait for next Wednesday’s London gig!)

    24 Hours From Tulse Hill

I hear the music coming out of your radio

It takes me for a ride, like those

    trains, and boats and planes,

    right up into heaven,

where the angels are looking at you,

sprinkling moon dust in your hair.

    But you’ll never get there,

    if you break my heart.

    Ask Burt and Hal

    The binary stars.

    Or Dionne, or Dusty,

    caressing sweet intervals

    with a singers kiss,

and looks that time can’t erase.

    Its a major, minor act

    of unrequited love.

These magic sha – la – la- la – la moments.

    Rivers of melody

    that flow from the heart,

take in all loves bends, and falls,

to arrive in four minutes flat,

    with a bouquet of flowers,

    right outside your door.

It’s something even non believers, can believe in.

  2. Just got back from the RFH gig in London.
So many highlights, but I particularly enjoyed the beautifully, delicate rendition of “Alfie” by Burt himself.
“Let your heart lead the way…and you’ll find love anyway”
Thankyou Burt (and Hal) for all those fantastic songs, which have played such a rich and prominent part in my life

  3. i was so disappointed to miss the England concerts last month – please could you announce some European dates for next year? Please?!

  4. Hello I’m Tony – I’m a BA student and I’m writing my dissertation on Burt Bacharach’s soundtrack to the movie “Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid”. Please can anyone out there help me obtain the orchestral score to the film or indeed any other relevant information pertaining to the film or the making of the film. Background stories etc. I bought Burt’s autobiography but there seems to be very little information out there relating to the score or the making of “Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid”. Any help or guidance would be much appreciated. Many Thanks Tony. Contact: tonalcry@hotmail.no

  5. I’ve been singing 24 hrs from Tulsa since the 70’s and I still have my 1963 copy. It wasn’t until I started doing my tribute show of Gene Pitney that I really appreciated how good the songs of Burt Bacharach are. I know he has a great catalogue of great songs but once you start performing them they kind of take on a life of their own and they reach down into your very soul. It’s a great privilege to be able to perform and share his music with my audiences and hopefully I’ll get to see him at the Nottingham Concert Hall, UK this year which is the last place I saw Gene Pitney perform.

  7. I hope heartily you had a very nice and great B-day last 12th, Mr. Bacharach. 😀

  8. I love you Burt. As a man to a man, for expressing a man’s love, in my case to lovely women. Accompanied with music that melts one’s heart. Thank you for 50 years of understanding love’s peaks and valley. David
