A living music legend took to the stage of the Royal Festival Hall this weekend. Burt Bacharach performed a superb two-hour concert, combining an equal mix of his era-defining pop music, film scores and a few new pieces. “It’s a tough time,” he explained midway through.

Content company Wisebuddah has signed a deal with promoter Senbla to become the exclusive audio partner of forthcoming London shows from Quincy Jones and Burt Bacharach. As well as recording the concerts, Wisebuddah will create two programmes dedicated to each live show to air on BBC Radio 2.
The Adirondack Theatre Festival opens its summer season on Friday night with the first Burt Bacharach work for the stage since 1972’s “Promises, Promises,” co-written with Hal David and featuring the hit “I’ll Never Fall In Love Again.”
The 24th season of the Adirondack Theatre Festival will kick-off on with the romantic musical Some Lovers. The show will open at the Charles R. Wood Theater, located at 207 Glen Street in downtown Glens Falls, June 15th-23rd, with a preview on June 14th.

Burt and his band have added a second date in Italy this summer. In addition to the previously announced show in Rome on July 25, Burt will be performing at the Teatro degli Arcimboldi in Milan on July 23.
