Re: Reach out album 1967

Reach Out, Is the the end of the line for this thread, or are you doing more research on this subject? Do you plan to continue your "trek" for the mystery players? Steveo I think the monograph is nearly finished...I did an historical introduction to present Bacharach and after the detaile...

Re: Reach out album 1967

Well, you might be right...sometimes truth is stranger than fiction..... I am opting for the possibility of Warren Luening being one of the brass players..after doing some research, it seems he was active on the Hollywood scene at least from 1958... He, as a young man, played on the Lawrence Welk s...

Re: Reach out album 1967

Dear Reach -Out, Proximity dictated the musicians Burt would use, so because it was a west coast session, It is higly unlikely that Reg Guest would be appearing on that session...since he is/was from G. Britain. Steveo well I see your point steveo but burt spent some time in the UK at that time he ...

Re: Reach out album 1967

Reach-out, I know who Reg Guest is/was...he did a great job on the Dusty Single..Look of Love... much better than Burt's album cuts on that tune, obviously patterned after Burts arrangement..the strings are so etherial and glassy...perhaps the sexiest record ever made!but I don't think Reg played o...

Re: Reach out album 1967

Why the drop in information on the rhythm players,ww, and br? because those pages are lost...if you look on the wrecking crew site you will see how these union contracts are collated...and the information given to you was the string page... so i presume the other couple of pages are "lost"...

Re: Reach out album 1967

I've always wondered who the female vocalist was on the title track to this album. She's the one who sings: "don't you worry......", "you just have to.........", and "I'll be there and........" etc. In fact it would be nice to know who all the session vocalists were bu...

Re: Reach out album 1967

Thanks Martyn...yes, I know it is a big challenge to track down the musicians involved in the sessions... well, I am just realizing it now but for me it would be very important to get some name since I am trying to write a deep analysis on each songs in that album I sent emails to Michael Brocken an...
