Re: Make way for Dionne Warwick

I totally agree with you pablo, Dionne Warwick sang material for adults, Motown was very commercial and the sound too. You can´t compare this two different things. Well and I think we can´t compare the "Just being myself album" with the Supremes-Sound. HDH made a development through the ye...

Walk little dolly - Dionne Warwick & The Sweet Inspirations

I wonder why the complete Sweet Inspirations did only one song with Dionne on her "Windows of the world" album. I would like to know why they recorded together only one track?

Maybe somebody knows more about that fact.

Thank you very much

Make way for Dionne Warwick

For me personally this cover of that LP has a very special story. You can see Dionne pictrued in a Supreme-style! My favortie group are the Supremes. But Dionne is the first lady because the music history told that she was the diva who hiting the charts in 1962 with "Don´t make me over", a...

Dionne Warwick in Achen (Germany)

This Year Dionne Warwick is only one time here in Germany for one concert in Achen. But I´m really excited to have tickets. I saw here last year at the Seebühne Mannheim and the concert was fantastic and amazing. Every time for me it´s a "Musical marriage" for me personally when I heard he...

Re: The Beginning of Loneliness

For me personally it is one of my favorite Bacharach / David tune together with "In between the heartaches", "Where would I go" or "The wine is young". It is a very dynamic songs full of emotional power and Dionne did a great job to sing the song. I like that styles of ...

Re: Unreleased Bacharach-David Songs on Scepter

There are different Bacharach songs performed by Dionne in WB vault: "Plastic city" (BB & Bobby Russell) / "And she walked in the room" or ""And Then You Walked Through the Door" (BB & Neil Simon). But - until now - there are no way to catch them! I read i...

Re: Nana Mouskouri and Burt Bacharach

This is very true GehVorbei, because Dionne ist the best singer for Bacharach / David tunes. When you hear the tunes you hear that very difficult for Nana to sing it!!!!! But I like the language and I think when Dionne would sing it in french the songs were breathless and very perfect and totally pr...
