Steve Lawrence produced by Teddy Randazzo another great Bacharach contemporary. This song sounds like a replica of Jack Jones wives and lovers.

Blue you posted the wrong link. I was aware Dusty had a version but I think the girl group version is even superior to hers and that says alot.

Re: Need help trying to remember a song
Guys i solved it its "some of your lovin". Im not even sure which group sings it originally. I wasnt around in the 60s and i hear different opinions ex. honeybees and or crystals. Here it goes. This has to be one of my fave Goffin/King.

Need help trying to remember a song
I heard a Carole King song a while back on youtube sung by a girl group I wanna say Shirelles Crystals or Chiffons.I get a vibe like Oh no not my baby but even prettier. It has a beautiful melody but I cant remember anything about it. Its not a famous song at all so chances of me running into it aga...

Re: One That Got By Me
Sounds like something that could have been on the Lost Horizon soundtrack maybe because of the cheesy lyrics. Also get a slight "everybodys out of town" vibe. I notice all Burts songs have dopplegangers.

lesser known 60's/70's Bacharach songs
I used to know a site where there were like thousands of Bacharach titles that he composed back in the 60's and 70's and over the years youtube has taken many of them down. Can we have a thread of some of the lesser known Bacharach songs. I will post one that may not be as obscure as some of the oth...

Re: Runner up for Best Brill Building dream team?
For me I have hard time deciding between Lieber Stoller/ Goffin King. I think from a commercial standpoint Lieber Stoller might have been the most successful Brill Building pair even more so than Bacharach David. They produced a few Bacharach composed songs ex. Exciters its love that really counts a...

Could Laura Nyro have bested Bacharach???
Could she have been the the Emperess of NY pop hitmaking had she been committed to writing and composing in a more commercial style? I actually say yes and here is why(hold your stones while I make my case). Laura's music spanned alot of genres and she did so authentically. Laura could compose in th...

Runner up for Best Brill Building dream team?
Obviously Bacharach/David was the best that is not up for debate. Anyone who says otherwise I would personally recommend time in the Russian Gulag. However a more worthy debate would be who was the second best songwriting tandem.. For this purpose Laura Nyro is also disqualified as she is neither a ...

Laura Nyro and the Brill Building?
I have always thought of Laura as a Brill Building composer/singer. She was from NYC and would have surely have rubbed shoulders with many of the top singers/composers. She seems to be credited as a Brill Building artist by a few publications while those of you guys who were around back then(I certa...
