Fantastic news! And interesting that Burt decided to score a small film about autism.

Re: new Christmas song
Bonkersforburt tends to be a pretty well-informed source and if you take Dionne's last two albums as an indicator she can under the right circumstances still deliver in the studio. She didn't get a Grammy nomination for "Now" for nothing. And for the moment she seems to have stopped tourin...

It must have been a real horror for burt that he was forced to work with such an utterly talent-free musical idiot as ms white.

Re: "Finder of Lost Loves" version Warwick/Vandross released
I hope Dionne's original version of "On My Own" form the "Friends" sessions with Burt will be included in a future extended release of that album. Nothing has been announced yet. And the full set of jazz versions Dionne recorded with Arif Mardin for the Cole Porter album. Only &q...

"Finder of Lost Loves" version Warwick/Vandross released
Finally, Arista or whoever owns that label's catalogue nowadays is starting to release extended versions of Dionne's 1980s albums. The long-rumored duet with Luther Vandross on the BB title track of the "Finder of Lost Loves" album is included. Apparantly, for contractual reasons Luther wa...

Re: R.I.P.—Joe Sample
The song Meilssa Manchester co-wrote with Hal and that apparently is the very last lyric he ever wrote is called: "The Other End of the Phone“. And the recording has both Dionne and Joe Sample on it. Melissa ist trying to get the album release financed through crowd-funding and that apparently ...

Re: Did Rob Shrock cheat on his wife with Rumer???
What's so sad here??? He has been traveling with Dionne as her musical director for the last 4 or 5 years and now he is producing Rumer's new album. Didn't her last two efforts both go platinum in the UK?

Re: Elvis Costello on the David Letterman Show tonight, May
Elvis has stated again and again recently that he has stopped making albums: “There is no need to make another one..." And that he is working simultaneously with Burt on two musicals: "It is fairly and kind of intense. I never would have imagined it...” One is the "PFM" musical f...

Re: "What's up" with Dionne
The week it came out Dionne's and Ne-Yo's new version of "A House Is Not A Home" occupied spot No. 2 on the R&B "Streaming Charts". With Michael Jackson's posthumously released "Loving You" in the No. 1 spot and the new Mariah Carey single "Thirsty" in 3rd...

Re: "What's up" with Dionne
Nobody here has heard the finished album yet, you are making your assumptions based on Soundcloud. When the first tracks from "Now" appeared on Soundcloud you actually wrote here the production sounded like better "karaoke tracks" to you. And then the finished album turned-out mu...

Re: "What's up" with Dionne
As I stated before the concept of "album" is coming to an end anyway. But there are two or three tracks here that have the marketing-potential that her last offerings had not. And among the original material the CeeLo Green song - and it sounds like he wrote it especially for Dionne - is g...

Re: "What's up" with Dionne
Not sure that I can agree with much of the negativism. There are some real inspired pairings here and some tracks actually could get airplay. Particularly the fantastic combination with the great CeeLo Green on "Feels So Good" is terrific......If they handle that one right it actually coul...
