Re: concert in Lucca
I think the Lucca concert was the most difficult for Ms. Eliza of all Burt's concerts. On the bright side, the Milan concert was jazz to the max. Also, nowmedical, you will have to interpret half a stone for the non English world. 1 stone = 14 poundss = approx 6.4 kilos.

Re: notes from the tour
Usually Ms. Eliza doesn't play when there is a full orchestra: however recently Burt played with an orchestra that she also usually plays in, and she was able to "train" the concertmaster as to Burt's requirements in style. Things went well. So I am not presuming anything, but if Burt choo...

notes from the tour
According to my reliable correspondent; tonight (in Brescia) was the most incredible outpouring of warmth, hospitality and wine a group of musicians could ever hope for. They were guests of a highly respected wine growing family and were in awe of the atmosphere and friendliness and graciousness of ...

Re: italian Tour

italian Tour
From what I am hearing, the Italian tour will be traditional and familiar enough to satisfy the die hard fans, but have a newer and more interesting format, so that you won't be able to say that you have seen the show before.

Re: Dionne Warwick and Rob Shrock playing at Blue Note 6/02/11
I think Rob Shrock has faith in Dionne's abilities because as far as I know he is working with her intensively, as well as being a cornerstone of Burt's live performance...

so what would it take to get Burt to do a few gigs in the UK
Apart from nice weather
I could envision him at several festivals, Hay on Wye and Edinburgh maybe, and a couple of Midlands venues: if he did Wolverhampton and Birmingham I would even offer to
translate.
Surely there are enough fans in the UK to fill the places.

Re: BB influence on Rumer's Album
Hi gillanddon, Glad you enjoyed the music...Sandie still has a great voice !!! "blue" But Sandie was wearing shoes.... (For those of you who don't remember the 1960-s with great clarity, her trademark was performing barefoot) Other Sandie Shaw trivia: she was meant to sing the song "...

London Daily Telegraph review of Rumer singing Burt
See: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/culture/music/rockandpopreviews/8108522/Rumer-Tabernacle-review.html I have not listened to Rumer, so I guess I have to remedy that. She is up for a Brit award. I have to chuckle sometimes when the Americans around me think of the 1960-s as "The British Invasion&...
