Re: R.I.P. ... Vincent Cole

I haven’t been on the forum for some time and was shocked and very saddened to hear the news about Vincent. What a true gentleman he was - such a positive outlook on life and always happy to share stories and experiences of his life as a fan of Burts. I was fortunate enough to speak with him a few t...

Liverpool Empire Theatre: 03 August

Hello all I hope everyone is well - it's been a very long time since I've posted anything! I just wanted to say that, as expected, the Liverpool concert on Sunday was absolutely fantastic. My wife Clare and I had great seats at the Empire theatre and Burt and the band all seemed to enjoy the perform...

Re: Ronan Keating in the Studio with Burt

Hi all, long time no post! Hope everyone is well. I just felt I had to throw my tuppence worth into the Ronan Keating posts. I was quite disheartened when I heard about this collaboration - to me, Ronan has always represented what is wrong with the British music industry - particularly manufactured ...

Re: piano choice

Hi Nowmedical If you're not particularly after a grand, check out Mark Goodwin's website (markgoodwinpianos.co.uk). His company masterfully recondition mainly Yamaha pianos and I can vouch for their beautiful tone and sound. I believe he does also recondition and sell the occasional grand - worth ha...

Re: "Raindrops" Redux

Hello All An Andy Williams version of Alfie was my childhood introduction to the wonderful world of Burt and still has a special place in my collection. It's not that bad, in fact it's a pretty damn good interpretation imho:) I believe he recorded a few versions of Alfie and it's just the one that p...

Re: Any U.K concerts

Hi Deborah As pljms says, there are no UK concerts scheduled this year but I have booked to go and see Burt in Norway on July 13 at the Wrightegaarden in Langesund (www.wrightegaarden.com) and tickets are available from Norway's version of Ticketmaster (billetservice.no) I got flights to Olso Torp (...

Oslo Concert 13 July 2009

Hello all Does anyone know if a venue (or indeed the concert itself) has been confirmed yet for Oslo, which the tour page shows as "13 July - Oslo, venue TBA"? Any updates appreciated as I'm waiting to book my flight (this will, I hope, be my first Burt show since 2002!!!) :) Cheers Andrew

Re: Burt to perform, debut new CD on QVC tonight

Hi Martyn - hope you're well!

Just had another go and, although it showed as in stock this time and allowed me to add to the basket, I was unable to register as there was no option for non-US addresses.

PS -Wispas have recently been re-released over here for a limited period only!

Re: Hello y'all

Hey bdr - that's really nice....pictured myself on a bicycle riding through swinging sixties London, wind in my hair...

Seriously though, a very well constructed piece and yes, very burtesque. Thanks for sharing!

Re: Burt to perform, debut new CD on QVC tonight

Hello everyone - I too had no luck in ordering the cd - "sold out" and it looks like no international shipping was available anyway. It's surely got to get into the shops - especially if it sold out so quickly from QVC??!! Further bad news - I couldn't get a ticket for Burt's appearance at...

Re: Burt in London

Mmmm, outside of London?

Well, how about the 2008 European Capital of Culture which, coincidently, has a great brand new waterfront arena venue (and a fantastic philharmonic orchestra!)

Come back to Liverpool Burt!

Re: Memories of Sydney Australia July 2007

Hi Laura

Thanks for this wonderful recollection of your trip to Sydney! I loved the part about you shouting out at the Vancouver performance!

Burt really does bring a lot of people a lot of joy!
