Re: Mystery Song, Mystery Writers
It was written by Graeme J Kronsberg and Michael Randall. Don't know much about Kronsberg but Randall wrote, among others, 'All Of My Life" (Diana Ross), "Leave A LIttle Room" (5th Dimension) and "When I Found You" (Peggy Lee) - all good songs.

Re: Does an extended version of the look of love by Dusty S exist?
Dusty made two recordings of 'The Look of Love'. One was for the soundtrack for the film 'Casino Royale' with Burt Bacharach arranging and Phil Ramone producing. The other was for Philips, her record company, with Reg Guest as arranger and John Franz producer. The soundtrack recording lasts for unde...

The Love Of A Boy
There’s a beautiful rendition of “The Love Of A Boy’ by Dusty Springfield on a newly released UK DVD ‘The Liverpool Sound’ recorded in Melbourne, Australia, in 1964. Serene Dominic makes special mention in his book of Dusty’s live BBC radio performance of the song, which only exists in poor quality ...

Friday Night Is Music Night
I can't see that anyone has mentioned Radio 2's 'Friday Night Is Music Night' tonight (31) with Burt and Joss Stone. Recorded live at London's Eventim Apollo, the broadcast lasts for almost two hours from 8.00pm.

Re: Kritzerland to release London cast recording of Promises, Promises
It's odd that Kritzerland should claim this to be the first release of the Original London Cast Recording as they issued a limited edition of 1000 in 2010 (KR 20016-3) with what appear to be the same liner notes by Bruce Kimmel. I don't see a catalogue number for the 2020 release. Maybe they mean th...

Re: Dionne's New Single
I don't wish to shatter any illusions but, while the release is new, the recording is not. It probably dates back about 10 years or maybe even longer. Some time ago, a Dionne fan who obviously had a private copy posted it on YouTube but I haven't checked recently to see whether it's still there.

Re: Origin of This Guys In Love
The song was originally written (or at least originally recorded) as "That Guy's In Love With You" which, with a few lyric changes along the way, gives it a completely different meaning. Danny Williams recorded and released the song under this title in 1967, which predates Herb Alpert's re...

Re: Bacharach on BBC radio this Sunday, Oct 12th
I’m sure that Burt and Elaine Paige never came within a million miles of one another for this interview. Burt was obviously in the States because he referred to a performance ‘here’ when it had clearly taken place in the US. The programme probably used a pre-recorded set of ‘answers’ and Elaine Paig...
