"Ready Steady Burt!"

Vintage footage of a Burt interview at 33:05 from the classic UK pop show 'Ready Steady Go!' from the mid sixties

It's fun watching the kids trying to dance to a Bacharach song...an almost impossible task! :)

Re: Origin of This Guys In Love

After some quick research on the web,(about 14 minutes)Danny Williams did indeed record "That Guys In Love" on Deram Records DML1017(LP) released in GB. On this same album is Burt and Hal's "Love Was Here Before The Stars"also recorded by Brian Foley on Kapp. The release date sa...

The Japanese cd version of Blue Umbrella contains 2 bonus tracks: "21st century man" and "Quiet place".
Thanks David, let's hope the "bonus tracks" soon appear on 'youtube'.

Italian film composer Piero Piccioni seemed very influenced by Bacharach.
Here are a couple of examples...

Re: 'Blue Umbrella'..'We Go Way Back'...'Whistling in the Dark' ..'Bacharach / Tashian

Apparently the five tracks that make up the EP have been in the can for about a year and I wonder if they weren't tempted in the interim to expand the project to a ten or twelve song album? While I think 'Bells Of St. Augustine' is the outstanding song, 'Blue Umbrella' and 'We Go Way Back' are real...

Re: 'Midnight Watch' ...new Bacharach / Tashian song.

I don't think it's that controversial, Blair. Looking at it on purely artistic grounds, I think the partnership with Carole Bayer Sager represents the nadir of Bacharach's career. To my knowledge, no one has yet to record a 'Sings the Songs of Bacharach and Bayer Sager' album and I can't imagine th...
