Re: Rumer has it
Yes! I go to sleep at night thinking about a whole Bacharach/Rumer CD with new songs.

Re: See the full 1/2 hour show here!
I liked the interview, but I don't see why so much emphasis from the interviewer on Barbra Streisand as her input has been irrelevant for Bacharach's music.

Re: Rumer
Well, I don't understand it because in her EPK (see www.youtube.com/watch?v=M7XDrQFA65I), Rumer says Bacharach loved her voice and how impressed she was... Personally I think she is one of the singers around who could do some Bacharach songs and make it. (I don't understand the "Keating" m...

Re: Ronan Keating in the Studio with Burt
I haven't got the record yet, but you are right, especially as (in the Youtube docummentary) you can see Hal David in the studio, as a way of recognising his input to the songs.

Re: Ronan Keating in the Studio with Burt
Mmh, great, but I would like there were 1 or 2 new songs, like in the Ronald Isley record.
(I will buy it the moment it comes out).

Re: Rumer sings What the World Needs Now
I like Rumer a lot, and this is a good version.
It's sad the things singers have to do nowadays to be on TV.

Re: Dionne Arista Reissues Due this Month
The Cole Porter album was a bit of a let down for me and I was very illusioned with it when I bought it (I have the vynil copy - I love that inner photo of her in that 30s armchair). I don't think the production did any justice to her voice here (Dionne can do anything, but I think she is better in ...

Re: Ronan Keating in the Studio with Burt
He is a good choice for singing Burt's songs and maybe the decision will turn younger audiences to BB music. I'm happy for that. Boyzone performed a lot of covers of ballads and were quite good. Here's a version of Tracy Chapman's 'Baby can I hold' you with R. Keating in lead vocals. As you can see ...

Re: Motown salutes Bacharach
Thank you all. I generally agree with you; I envisage Dionne more in 70s Motown (with songs by Stevie Wonder, Smokey Robinson or Ashford/Simpson, maybe) than in the 60s with HDH, as early Motown was more teenage oriented)...and,yes, she would have some problems with Diana (although it seems, in real...
