Doris Day was a uniquely talented lady, a great singer and a terrific actress with a tremendous flair for comedy.

Every time I hear 'Send Me No Flowers' I wonder how such an attractive song could completely fail to be a hit and, even more puzzlingly, why it remains little known to this day.

It takes a few listens, as per normal with B&C's material, but it has more of Bacharach's stamp on it than some of their other collaborations, particularly the recurring theme on the keyboard.

The "new material set for release this year" sounds intriguing. I hope someone gets round to recording 'With A Voice', preferably Bacharach himself with John Pagano on lead vocals.
