Re: Help Please! Song that sounds like Bacharach
Here's an idea. How about Herb Alpert performing Burt's This Guy's In Love With You? Soft, romantic. Right time frame, late 60s. 67- 68? Was played on the AM radio stations a lot. A big hit. Horn solo, strings, piano. Voice sort of Burtish-BJish? And the words, "I need your love. I want your lo...

Herb Alpert and Lani Hall Show!
Hi Everybody, For east coasters, or those who might be visiting the east in the fall, Herb and Lani are scheduled to appear at the McCarter Theartre in Princeton, NJ on Thursday, November 5th. This is the same venue Burt played last June, and it is a great place for this sort of performance. It's so...

Re: Burt Bacharach Play List Princeton NJ June 7
It's been about 10 years now that I've been attending Burt concerts whenever I can, and this time, I decided to just immerse myself in the moment and the show. I didn't take notes, or bring along anything for Burt to sign. Just soaked in the pleasure of the music. As Laura said , we had front row ce...

Hi Steve and Steve, The Bell That Couldn't Jingle was on Herb Alpert's Christmas album from the late '60's, with Herb doing both the singing and the trumpet. It was one of my favorites from the album, even before I realized it was from Burt. Too bad we don't hear it very often. Thanks for reminding ...

Prescott show
She was listed as Elizabeth Chorley in the show program, but I thought Burt introduced her as Eliza. Now it makes sense. Thanks for clarifying this. I'll be in New Brunswick tomorrow night, too. Row W on the right side facing the stage. Maybe you can introduce us to your talented daughter. See you t...
