Re: New Bacharach song
Beautiful! And a beautiful new voice for me. Here's hoping an English language version gets recorded soon.

Re: New Bacharach song
To our Italian friends --
Does anybody know how many of the songs on Karima's new AMARE LE DIFFERENZE CD have been written and/or produced by Burt? I'm aware of "Come In Ogni Ora" and "Un Domani..." but am curious about the other tracks.
Thanks!!
Joe

What a lovely new piece. How does such endless invention and concurrent recognizability come to be (it's like seeing a Cezanne or Van Gogh and knowing instantly who the artist is)? And how lucky for us that in this case it is combined with such longevity. I just want to hear Dionne singing this song in English....
Re: New Bacharach song
Hello all friends and Burt fans in Italy and worldwide !
Is this song "Come in ogni ora" composed, written, produced or just played by Burt ?
Best regards,
Fernando Kneese

Re: New Bacharach song
Burt didn't write this. It's more like a pale Whitney Houston copy, and has all the things Burt rejects - eg. stuck in C major till they crank it into D after about 3 minutes, the standard boring verse-chorus-verse-chorus-bridge-chorus structure, and totally regimented 4/4 time.
C'mon chaps, Burt can't resist a little corruption of the tempo.

I happen to like the song very much. But it sounds more like a Michael Masser composition than something Burt would have composed.

I did look on the ASCAP site, as well as the Hitmaker Archive. I hope it becomes a big hit!steveo_1965 wrote:Well it says it was written by Burt and the italian lyrics adapted by Mario Biondi

Enormous, that video was being uploaded as I searched for it... Thanks so much.
I wrote there:
Burt Bacharach: what a treasure of civilization...
Kudos, Mr. Bacharach, for finding and working with people who can share the joy of playing and singing your music, as these wonderfully talented musicians and singers so effectively do.
Still growing at 80!!!
Thanks for inspiring this plain soul of mine.
