Songs with a meaning from Burt!

Post by Marcel »

Songs that Burt wrote in the past, songs with a meaning in these rough times we are now.

1 - What The World Needs Now (Is Love)

A timeless song that these days (and back in time) meant a lot.
Memories of the good times, and now the uncertain times.

2 - All Kinds Of People.

That`s right.
We should care for each other.
No more hate or violence and be proud to be here on this planet!

3 - The Windows Of The World.

Look at the future.
Give the next generation something to be proud of, so they could look back at something to care for!
Don`t Send Them Away To Fight A War - That Also Is Lost Already.

4 - That`s What Friends Are For.

Be There For Someone - In Good Times Or Bad Times.
Looking For The Older And Sick And Homeless one.

These songs are timeless.

Thank you Burt, Hal and Carole for showing us these teriffic songs!

Kind Regards,

Marcel :D

Three all time favorites:
"Be Aware":
"somewhere in the world someone is cold, be aware
...and while you're feeling young, someone is old, be aware
and while you speak your mind, someone can't speak, be aware...
"Lost Horizon":
"there's a lost horizon
where the sound of guns doesn't pound in your ears anymore"
"Walk the Way You Talk":
"time won't wait, maybe tomorrow it may be too late
don't just stand alone on a mountaintop
join the world today...
don't you know that you are only what you do"
The sheer genius and poetry of Hal David, these lyrics could not be more relevant today.

Great lyrics from HAL DAVID which would likely have not been written without his partnership with BURT BACHARACH and their source of inspiration and star interpreter DIONNE WARWICK....Some things are just meant to be!
