Lost Horizon soundtrack/Fool Killer

Post by Bill Minnick »

With the release of Lost Horizon on DVD, I wonder if there's any chance that the original soundtrack will be given the "Kritzerland" treatment anytime in the future. I've always thought that the '97 OST release on Razor & Tie was somewhat murky sounding -- especially now when one compares the new DVD audio to the R&T CD. Perhaps Kritzerland could also include Burt's original demos along with the instrumental tracks recorded for the film. Just a thought.

On the subject of The Fool Killer, if anyone is looking to add this great and rather rare track to their collection, may I suggest the wonderful compilation The Sound of Bacharach that was reissued and expanded for CD in 2001. The two customer reviews at Amazon sum it up beautifully.
