Burt in LA in February

On February 11 and 12, LA’s Music Center is having a Jerry Moss tribute concert featuring Burt, Sergio Mendes, Herb Alpert, Sting, and Merry Clayton. As far as I know, these are Burt’s first scheduled performances since the pandemic, and the only ones currently scheduled, so I bought tickets and will be making the trip from LA. Anyone else going?

I went online to see if there was any info on how these concerts went only to find that they were in fact cancelled a month ago owing to the surge of the Omicron variant of Covid-19. These shows were postponed indefinitely so it could be some time before Bacharach is next seen on a concert stage.

Yes, sadly (but not surprisingly) they emailed me a few weeks ago to say they’d been postponed. Still hoping that they do happen and that Burt (and I) will be there.
