Hello everyone,
My name is Natalie, and I'm a college student who runs a music blog called Ear Bites. I cover a ton of different music, just basically stuff I think people need to hear.
Previously I wrote a piece on "Hasbrook Heights, which you can find here: https://earbites.substack.com/p/a-funny ... e?r=2qjmjj
But I'm writing today because I just wrote a piece where I talk about a few different versions of "This Guy's In Love With You" -- Herb Alpert's, Aretha Franklin's, Oasis/Noel Gallagher's, and BJ Thomas', to be exact. You can find that here: https://earbites.substack.com/p/ultimat ... 2?r=2qjmjj .
I love Burt's music dearly and consider "This Guy's In Love With You" to be the greatest song ever created. For the record, my favorite version is B.J. Thomas', though I love the track so much I am always looking for new versions to listen to. Thanks, everybody. Hope you enjoy!

Thanks for posting, this was a fun article, and a good reminder to revisit the BJ Thomas version. I see Don Sebesky did the arrangement. I'm guessing Burt wasn't at the session, as BJ takes a couple of liberties with the melody that Burt would have probably fought him over
