Two special talents that came together for everyone's benefit. What would the world be like had they never collaborated? That thought makes me appreciate them both all the more!

This is that arrangement that has that special blend of brass and strings I so love at the end...on the word "Love"
"Still in LOVE.....(slight hold or fermata )... with me.....I believe Jack Parnell was involved with Burt on this arrangement...It is really fantastic!

more bits and pieces from "The Sound of Bacharach..."
brilliantly conceived cutting between the 2 acts. the Merseybeats, and Dusty...
The Merseybeats version is, well.....just as bad as Dusty's is good...and hers is REALLLLLLLLLLL GOOOOOD!
lol

I read a while back that Dusty had very little self-confidence and was self-destructive and even suicidal. I remember thinking, "my god! this can't be true", but I see here that, sadly, it was true. I can't help wondering how she actually "made it". True, she has one of the most wonderful voices ever, but with all this "baggage", how did she have the inner fortitude to do what it takes to "make it" so big? I mean to say that if you have such a low opinion of your singing, how would you get up on the stage in the first place?

I read recently that a movie of Dusty's life (a "biopic", as it were) is going to be made starring (I forgot who darnit!--was it Angelina Jolie?). But I haven't seen or heard anything about it since.

Anyhow, I put Dusty in my top five female singers. Her voice is just so appealing to me.

Thanks for the links above.
