Had a dream last night that Burt was showing me one of his orchestral brass "voicings"...lol
Does anyone remember Burt's instrumental version of Close To You? -
done on one of his A&M albums around 1971?
Well, there's a part in there right before the second chorus - where it's an interval of a major seventh between 2 trombones
"BAAAAAAAAA"
Anyone remember that sound? It was unique then, and it's still unique
now!
Anyway, in this dream, Burt was pointing out to me this brass voicing...
showing me on the piano....go figure!
