Since playing "Happy Is A Color" over & over again, I've been trying to figure out which Bacharach tunes it most reminds me of...I have that same sense of pastiche/deja vu, too, Mark! I know I've got "A Young Pretty Girl Like You" from PROMISES, PROMISES running through my head, but that's probably because of the use there of the word "happy", too...when I played the song for a friend, he was reminded of LOST HORIZON melodically...any other thoughts?

well, it has elements of other Burt songs - that little ostinato of going inside and outside of the chord. like on needles and pins(the searchers)...playing on the 2nd and then the 4th intervals...like 24 hours from tulsa...kind of...
i dont know why but im getting the world is a cirlce flavor somehow...
