Bruce Springsteen 'Sunday Love'

Post by Sara D »

I was more than a little surprised when a friend recommended I check out a new Bruce Springsteen release, that is until I heard it. Let's put it this way, it bears little or no resemblance to 'Born In The U.S.A'.

From an interview given by Springsteen: " “I love Burt Bacharach, and I love those kinds of songs and those kinds of songwriters. I took a swing at it because the chordal structures and everything are much more complicated, which was fun for me to pull off. All this stuff could have come right off of those sixties albums.” I actually sense a Jimmy Webb flavour.

I always (?) thought that Bruce and the E-Street Band could have done a very fun live version of (There Goes) The Forgotten Man
