Mr Bacharach's Opus

Doing a lot of thinking about the future of our favourite composer. We are at a turning point I think.
In addition to being in the same class as (for example) Ravel, he is absolutely enchanting as a teacher.
I like to think that Mr. Holland's Opus is an alternate universe of what might have happened if Burt had not had the chutzpah to go through the lean times that inevitably accompany the musician's life.
It would be wonderful for us, and probably a big seller, if he could put together an autobiography, together with his musical philosophy which could encompass all his life and works. His words and his music
