Here's 1959's "That Kind Of Woman", penned by Burt & Hal and recorded by the singer Joe Williams. Enjoy!

If i'm not mistaken, i think this is one of the songs Burt had a hard time with, in that they(the a&r men of the 50's) wanted him to change a 3 bar phrase to a 4 bar phrase...
He was talking about it years ago on a late night interview show...
was demonstrating it on the piano....("At One With" with Keith Berwick, i believe..)and sang a little bit of it..explained it to Keith...anyone remember this?

Sorry, but this song and "Happy Is A Color" are two very ho-hum songs and very un-Burt-like. They don't come close to touching my "Bacharach nerve". These songs are just so dated and don't have any of the originality and genius of his later songs. And, of course, this is why you never hear these songs either. It's almost like two entirely different writers and I love it!
