Another artist who was heavily influenced by Bacharach !!!
Just listen to the "Shaft" score, and the track "Early Sunday Morning"
when I first heard it, I was almost convinced Burt had written it...magic !!!

"blue"
PS
On one of Burt's TV specials starring Isaac, Burt wished he had
written the "Theme From Shaft"...........praise indeed !!!

Hi Helcio, On an album from 1969 by the Jack Gold Orchestra & Chorus, the title song, "It Hurts To Say Goodbye" is one and the same as this one, at least the melody is. The songwriting credit says, "Jack Gold and A. Goland." The album includes great arrangements by Ernie Freeman of the hits of the day, including "This Guy's In Love With You", Jack Gold being a staff producer for Columbia Records (which released this album) at the time.

Hi Grooverider,
You're right, it's the same song. On Françoise Hardy's CD is listed...
J. Gold, H (?) Goland & Serge Gainsbourg (of "Je T'Aime...Moi Non Plus" fame) as songwriters...
