Who`ll Speak For Love /Bacharach-Oosterhuis

Post by Marcel »

This new project by Burt and Trijntje is called: Who`ll speak for love.
The release will be the end of November in the Netherlands.
Trijntje flew over to Los Angeles a couple of weeks ago and were recording together with BURT!
So fingers crossed and lets hope it will get another platinum status in the Netherlands.

Kind regards:
Marcel :D

Thanks, Marcel, for that info! I really like the BB/TO album that's already out. I'm looking forward to this new project, especially if it contains some new compositions as well as older gems. If you get any info on when and how we can order it, let us know. I'm assuming amazon will be carrying it as soon as it becomes available. Steve

Production and Arrangements by Burt

Post by Bruce Bernard Williams »

Thanx Marcel for that info! As always, I'm wanting something new from Burt as long as he HIMSELF is doing the production and arrangements of his own compositions. I hardly ever buy a CD that isn't produced and arranged by Burt. I am thrilled to know that he himself appears on this CD maybe not only playing but conducting, arranging, and producing. Although Trinjte Oosterhuis' album was composed by Burt, I don't believe he appeared, arranged, OR produced it, it was done by someone other than Burt. I hope the new CD has more than one cut by Burt but I will keep my eyes glued to this forum for any additional info.

Burt IS on Trijntje's first BB album

Dear Bruce,

I agree with you about so many arrangers and producers not doing justice to Burt's work. But I did find the TO album very enjoyable; and while the arrangements didn't have Burt's distinctive signature sound, I thought they were pretty good. But, Burt did play piano on 2 of the tracks - Waiting for Charlie to Come Home, and This House is Empty Now. Let's hope he does even more on the new album. Steve
