I was listening to "The Motown Box" CD and was blown away by the either extended and/or stereo mixes of classic Motown (ie; the 4:00 version of the Miracles' "The Tracks of My Tears").
It got me wondering: just like the 5:27 version of Dionne Warwick's "This Girl's In Love With You", which is I heard on a CD compilation of love songs, are there longer versions of Bacharach & David songs in the vaults somewhere? Or was Burt Bacharach (as producer) satisfied with what came out on 45 rpm? I realize he is a perfectionist and maybe what we have heard is what was actually recorded, but with "the Motown Box" came an unexpected surprise in realizing that the Motown vaults held (hold) unheard of treasures!
I know I'm opening up a can of worms, but here goes... I wonder if there has ever been talk of "remixing" classic Bacharach/David songs, which could be "interesting" at the very least....What could Jay Denes (Blue Six) do with "Don't Go Breaking My Heart" for example?
Bacharach's extended versions?

Long version
Here is the long version of Dionne Warwick's This Girl's In Love With You. It clocks in at about a minute longer than her top 10 hit version heard on the radio in 1969.
I have heard alternate takes of Who Is Gonna Love Me, In Between Heartaches, It's Love That Really Counds and A House Is Not A Home by Dionne that are on various CD compilations and I am sure there are others, plus there is an alternate take of I Say A Little Prayer on You-Tube. I have also heard two different takes of Baby, It's You by the Shirelles.
Here is the alternate take of Dionne's ISALP (or at least a different mix with Burt's count-off at the beginning):
