Burt with Noel Gallagher of Oasis
There is a Audio of Burt doing 'This Guys In Love With You' with Noel Gallagher floating around from the mid-90's, It was a recorded show and apparently was filmed. The video is almost 'legend' and i cant get it anywhere. wondering if anyone has it, knows of it and any info on the full show, i believe there was a VHS of the show or performance but so far i cant get it. thanks

I was at the concert at the Royal Festival Hall in London when Noel Gallagher did this song. We had fantastic centre stall seats.
Both Gallagher brothers were present with their partners and got a round of applause from the audience when they took their seats prior to the concert starting, a few rows behind us. I remember Burt saying that this was the first concert he had given in London since he had conducted for Marlene Dietrich. I had assumed that he had performed in England in the sixties or seventies - but this is what he said.
The concert was a good selection of his A&M instrumental pieces combined with vocals from his backing singers. I particularly remember him performing The Look Of Love and saying that Ursula Andress was the inspiration for the song. He also performed Bond Street from Casino Royale and surprisingly New York Lady from the Woman album. I also remember Burt being slightly agitated with the drummers performance on, I think, Alfie. The guy was playing slightly behind the required beat and Bacharach was conducting to him from the piano to up the tempo.
The Gallagher party left their seats early and then as an encore to the concert, Burt introduced Noel Gallager who came on stage and sang This Guy's In Love With You, despite Burt having performed it earlier in the concert as an instrumental. The concert was not filmed but I think it was the BBC Concert Orchestra who were performing with Bacharach that night, so it may have been taped and broadcast. It would be great to get a good quality recording of this performance.

I think I've got a tape of that concert somewhere. If my memory serves me right, it was broadcast by the BBC and includes a BBC announcer introducing the presentation. The quality of the recording is just so so as it was recorded off the radio and it's a cassette. I don't recall hearing anything about video of the show.

I remember listening to this concert on BBC radio 2 one Saturday night back in 1996
think it was introduced by Brian Matthew, but I may be wrong....sadly I never recorded it
I've never seen a video of this concert ...but there must be one somewhere ???
