Standing Room Only

Burt's up-coming concert in London is being held at the Roundhouse, which is not a small venue, bu unusually has virtually no seating; it is standing downstairs, with a few seats on the small balcony only.

I'm not sure why, but I kinda think a Burt concert is more compatible with being seated (this is probably more a reflection of the ageing audience rather than the music!).

Does anyone know of another recent (or distant) time that Burt has played to a standing audience?

May not be relevant, but...

At Virgin Records, in NY. Burt at the piano, Elvis at the mic. Not for a second did standing up bother me. I don't think I thought about that.

Of course, it was a free event for store goers, to promote PFM.

Someone once wrote in an article that being present at that event was akin to a religious a experience.
