Lennon's vocal - Baby It's You

Post by steveo_1965 »

I wanna take a little pole...and ask different posters what they think of Lennon's vocal on Baby It's You(Beatles)..I know that Burt was honored to have The Beatles record his song, because he so much loved the
phenomenon of the fab 4, and their later innovations....He states himself on an earlier Bacharach special, that he was influenced by the Beatles, Gerswhin, and others...
But.....did they do justce to this song?

I just gave it a listen and I loved it! I thought John (and the Beatles) did great justice to the song -- and it's such a great song, too! I can't imagine that Burt would have been anything other than thrilled with it. Once again, this song proves that no one composes pop music like Burt. I never get tired of listening to Burt's music.
