Thanks for the article. It's always good to know what some of these old-timers are up to.

As for me, I hold "Twenty-Four Hours From Tulsa" in very high esteem. I think it's one of both Burt and Hal's better efforts. It's a song about a real low-life cad! The song is written like a true story. It's like a mini-opera. I think the guy in the song's wife could be the girl singing "This Empty Place". Burt must think a lot of the song, too, because he did a full version on his Japan album. In that version, the song really ROCKS!

That song had to help put Burt on the map, too.

If only songwriters these days had even 1/10th the talent to put a song together like "Twenty-Four Hours From Tulsa".
