If you go to the imdb site, there is a nice page listed for 'Lost Horizon 1973'. Apparently some kind fols have started a letter writing campaign to have the film released on dvd. Someone at SONY pux has answered and stated that they are indeed working on a restored version of the film. They are looking for the 'lost footage' in order to make the release complete. I will sing up for the imdb site and post this, and write to the SONY rep to state the following:
'On the
www.losthorizon.org website, there is footage of a special Burt Bacharach did in promotion of the film. Can/will this footage be included as a 'bonus' on the release of the film? '
I wonder if anyone from the original film will have anything to do with it. It seems to me that us fans are the only ones 'wanting things' to be done right, after getting 'promises, promises' of the film seeing the light of day. Heck, just knowing that the film is being worked on, my 'heartlight' turn on. IF the film doens't get a release on dvd ever, then we should just 'walk on by' and pretend nothing ever happened. In the meantime, and 'in between the heartaches', we can just be 'wishin' and hopin' for the films' release. IF the SONY rep replies when I ask him to 'answer me a question', I will read my e-mail and make sure there aren't any ''things that i will not miss'. If he writes, I will 'share the joy' with all. When the film is released, it will indeed be 'the world is a circle' of justice.

"All Kinds Of People" (especially me) are wondering if you reside in "CHI"NA, "CHI"LE or my hometown of "CHI"CAGO (I now reside in Del Mar, California - where Burt lives for part of the summer and performs annually with the San Diego Symphony). I became a B.B. fan while living in Chicago back in the 60's.
Re: "Lost Horizon" - Hopefully "Any Day Now" we'll get word of it's release. The "bonus feature" referred to above would be a great addition!

Thank you for your 'welcome'. The chi is indeed Chicago, IL. I now live in Monterrey, MX, but am a huge fan of Burt's music and songs. I am also a huge fan of the legendary band, 'Chicago'.
To all, sorry for the spelling mistakes on my posts. I tend to type slower than what I'm thinking of at that moment.
