Nice little ad, VInce, thanks for posting.......I'm surprised that
Marvin Hamlisch is praising Burt....but his comments were right on...

I can't believe this got by me! I must not watch enough local television.
Looking forward to seeing Dionne on July 11th. Anyone who is able - should not miss her performance with the San Diego Symphony. Burt will perform with the Symphony here in August - another annual treat for those of us in the San Diego area.

The reason I said what I said about Marvin is that Carol,
MArvin's ex, became Mrs. Burt bacharach....I know that MArvin handled it well, but I didn't think he was all that keen on Burt....

Yes, I knew Carol was married at one time to both Marvin & Burt.

I thought maybe it was on a professional level. I guess you could say in some ways, that both Burt & Marvin are contemporaries to each other in the music field.

Oh, yeah! I forgot about that... that Carol was married to Marvin... 'cuz I didn't understand it either (why the surprise at Marvin praising Burt).... so thanks for clearing that up... now it makes sense. (MH doesn't hold a candle as a songwriter compared to BB)
