If I had to guess, I would say Burt is working on a new CD.

Can't see Burt laying around so to speak and not doing anything!

To my knowledge, Burt is developing the set of songs co-written with Steven Sater (Duncan Sheik's partner on the Broadway musical SPRING AWAKENING); reports have indicated that they will either pursue turning the material into a new album or a chamber-scale musical. Burt also is apparently in the planning stages of a project in which young female artists would tackle lesser-known gems from his catalog with Hal David. And on top of all that, one hopes he hasn't turned all attention away from the album he was to co-write and co-produce with Elvis Costello for Elvis' lovely and talented wife, Diana Krall.

Busy man, our Mr. Bacharach!!

This is just a guess... but I believe that Burt has a passion for creating music that goes beyond anything most people can imagine. And I also believe that this passion is as strong in him now as it ever was. He's just unbelievable. And thank God he is!! His output of phenomenal compositions and songs is incomprehensible. I think you'd have to go back to Richard Rodgers to find this kind of passion, creativity and longevity.
