South American Getaway

I bought a wonderful CD entitled "South American Getaway" after BB's theme in Butch Cassidy. The CD is a collection of 13 South American songs played by the 12 cellists of the Belin Philarmonik. "South American Getaway" is the last song and it is rendered magnifically by cellists only. It is an EMI CLASSICS CD that I had to import. But it was worth it.

It has now been confirmed, although i knew it from hearing him on the record..that the great bass voice on the soundtrack of "South American Getaway " is that of the wonderful Thurl Ravenscroft...Disney singer!

SAG is one of my favorites! To this day, I'm amazed how the singers scat sung together like that! The rehearsals must have been torturous for Burt. But they sure nailed it!
