Something Big - The A & M Years And More

I just ordered this box set and I'm looking forward to it. I'm sure there has been much talk about it here, but I'm really interested in your opinion.

First, I`m glad you found a copy; I was under the impression that it was out of print.
Obviously, it`s essential if you were missing any of the A&M albums (and you probably were since few of them were ever transferred to CD) and didn`t feel like drug-smuggling to pay for a Japanese import.
There are, of course, no alternate takes from these sessions although there are a couple of singles and obscurities from the Kapp vaults.
The liner notes are, well, nice if not brimming with new insights.
In short, you`ll be delighted to have it...and even moreso if any of it is new to you.
Enjoy!
