El Rancho Vegas Casino - late 50's

HI,
IN 1941 the first MAjor hotel casino pre-dating the FLamingo appeared on the Vegas strip.
It was massive, and even now, after it's demise(an April 17, 1960 fire demolished it)
most of the lot sits empty, accross from the Hilton....It was a huge, almost "citylike"
village and in their entertainment lounge, "The Opera HOuse", formerlyy the ROund -up room)
Vic Damone and MR. Burt Bacharach on the piano played there...anyone have any additional
info on Burt's appearances there? Are there any "older" Burt fans who may remember attending?
