Guitar credit for " Windows of the World

Hi Folks,
I'm new to this group and joined for a specific reason.
First, let me say I'm a 40 year fan of Burt's music..(particularly
the Hal David years..........BUT....)
Tonight I'd like to show the song "WINDOWS OF THE WORLD" to a
guitarist friend of mine, and would like to know WHO played the
Spanish, acoustic guitar on that classic session.
Can anyone help me????

Hi,
To answer your question,I can only guess that is was a session musician.
(which I'm sure you already knew) If it's Dionne's version, probably an east coast guitar player like Al Casey or Vinnie Bell. If it's Burt's version on A&M, then probably a west coast musician like Tommy Tedesco, Bill Pitman, or Mike Deasy.
Burt did most of his album stuff on the west coast and Dionne's on the east .
If Burt reads this, maybe he can provide a quick answer.

The recording is EXQUISITE (sp?)
But I guess that's why we are all here, ...right?

i was quite sure t'was Chiarenza because at the time of the recording Burt was touring in Japan and he played the guitar...but...also my ears have a certain confidence in that kind of sound... which Herb Alpert used in many recordings...and the guitarist was Chiarenza...but ...i mean...i could be wrong?!

Gosh guys,
I'm in awe of the opinions I'm seeing.
There still seems to be NO strong position.
And, maybe only Burt can clear this mystery.
( and, aren't mysteries the things that make life worth living ?)
But, again, I appreciate all the help I've received.
You folks are "golden"...all I would expect from Bacharach fans.
