question about "Too late to worry, too blue to cry"

The song "Too Late to Worry--Too Blue to Cry" was written and recorded by Al Dexter, it is a totally different song from Bacharach/David "Too late to worry". I would like to know whether someone has any idea how Bacharach & David somehow got credit for writing Glen Campbell's version of the Al Dexter composition? Did Capitol Records make the mistake on pressings of Glen Campbell's record, or did it happen later? I wonder if there was confusion between this song and the one they did write, "Too Late to Worry"? I wonder if someone just assumed they were the same song.
