RIP Charles Jarrott

British director Charles Jarrott passed away on Friday, March 4th in Woodland Hills, CA due to prostate cancer. He directed the 1973 musical, "Lost Horizon". "Lost Horizon", the much maligned musical remake, with music & lyrics by Bacharach & David is included in a filmography that also has such films as "Anne of the Thousand Days" and "Mary, Queen of Scots" He was 83. (Although the film, "Anne of the Thousand Days" received 10 Academy Award nominations, Mr. Jarrott did not receive recognition for direction in that film.)
