Is this song available on CD? I really like it. Michael McDonald's voice is absolutely gorgeous on that track.

Unless McDonald included it on one of his own albums, as far as I know it only appears on the Together ST which has never been legitimately released on cd.

This is a great song !
And Michael Mcdonald put, as always his very soulfull voice in it!
Listen also to "On My Own", also written by BURT.

But for you`re interest, the Italian singer Karima put this song on one of her albums about 2 years ago!
She did a great job on this gem.

But the musicians had a lot of trouble playing this song correctly.
Almost at the end of the song,one of the trumpeteers had problems with the range of the high notes and played it of key.
Hey, it`s a BURT composition and they are mostly very demanding for the musicians !
But for the rest of the song, it`s a great,great song!

Karima did also "Just Walk Away"which is also written by BURT.

Thanks for the info, Marcel! I will check it ou. On My Own is really a highlight in Burt's carrer. One of his best songs from the 80s. I must say that unlike many others I like his stuff from that era (Everchanging Times, Making Love...).

Indeed, BURT had written a hole bunch of great songs in the `80 and early `90.
But it was a differend era that time.
Most of the songs were very acoustic.
Beside of that, there were great projects with El Debarge,Kenny Rogers,Neil Diamond, Ray Parker, Natalie Cole and don`t forget Dionne!

Making Love is one of my fav.
It is so much BURT.
That very heartfelt,sad, almost haunting surrounding.
That is also with How Long?

Yes, they wrote it together.

Ty. I remember hearing Paul sing it on the Mike Douglas show..I liked the way he did it!
