Dionne was honored this weekend at Oprah Winfrey's "Bridge to Now" awards, held at Ms. Winfrey's Montecito, California estate. In addition to Dionne, others being honored included Tina Turner, Roberta Flack, Diana Ross, Gladys Knight, Patti LaBelle, Leontyne Price, Shirley Bassey, Shirley Caesar, Nancy Wilson and Diahann Carroll. Oprah saluted these women as living legends that have - and are -making a difference in today's world.
