Marlene Dietrich on Desert Island Discs- why not Burt???

Post by someonenameddavid »

For those of you who are not familiar with Desert Island Discs, it is a uniquely British low key radio show that lasts about 30 minutes and the celebrity is interviewed by a nice person whoask them to select 8 tracks with which they would be content to be stranded on a desert island. The show has been running since 1942...
I checked out their archive and Marlene Dietrich was on in 1965, with three Bacharach- related tracks :

What a nice boss to promote her protege.

But any of you movers and shakers in the UK should call the BBC and get Burt on the show... it's about time.

In theory, there is no difference between theory and practice, but in practice, there is.

My Potassium, magnesium and vitamin D levels are all excellent, as is my thyroid gland, although I did expect to have a transient thyroiditis with this infection. But no.
